About the Position: The Purchasing Manager will lead and develop a team of procurement professionals to optimize procurement functions across a diverse portfolio including cabling, audio-visual, data center and wireless network and security solution products. This role ensures that materials and products are consistently available in real time to support operational needs and is critical to ensuring cost avoidance, control, efficiency, and supply continuity. This individual will source, develop and foster strong manufacturer and vendor partnerships while supporting rapid business growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities: • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives, ensuring optimal cost, quality and service levels, • Vendor Management & Negotiations: Build, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships; lead contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms and service agreements, • Cost Control, Avoidance & Reduction: Drive cost containment initiatives, identify savings opportunities, and implement sustainable cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or timelines, • Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and develop purchasing team members; establish performance expectations and metrics and foster a high-accountability, growth-oriented environment, • Demand Planning & Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with Data Analyst and Inventory team to analyze business needs to maintain appropriate stocking levels, • Project Product Planning: Balance inventory investment with project demands and lead times, • Purchase Order Management: Oversee the issuance, tracking, expediting, and receipt of purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment, • Product Catalog & Data Integrity: Maintain and continuously improve product catalogs and procurement systems to ensure accuracy and usability, • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Finance teams to align procurement activities with project requirements and company objectives, • Process Improvement & Compliance: Establish and refine procurement processes, policies, and controls to improve efficiency, transparency, and compliance Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience), • 7+ years of experience purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, • Experience in Technology, AV, Construction, Security, Access Control, Structured Cabling or related industries strongly preferred, • Proven success in vendor negotiations, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization, • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, • Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement tools and software Salary: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year Job Type: Full-time, In-Person We are currently only considering candidates who already live within commuting distance of our office. This role is not open to relocation and relocation assistance is not provided.
