Job Description Job description Job Title: Expense Report Auditor Location: Columbus, GA Employment Type: Full-time and Contract to Hire About the Role InSync is seeking a detail-oriented Expense Report Auditor to join our finance team. In this role, you will ensure employee travel and expense reports are accurate, compliant, and processed in a timely manner. You’ll work closely with employees to guide travel policies, offer training, and help maintain smooth expense workflows across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Audit and process employee travel and expense reports in compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations., • Analyze expenses for accuracy, required documentation, tax applicability, and reporting requirements., • Ensure proper approvals are obtained before processing transactions., • Maintain expense databases, logs, and filing systems for quick reference and audit purposes., • Provide training to employees on travel policies, expense systems, and workflow processes., • Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve discrepancies and answer questions., • Identify trends or recurring issues to recommend process improvements and training needs., • Compile and review reports related to outstanding advances and overdue expense submissions., • Troubleshoot user access issues and verify correct system role assignments., • Bachelor’s degree required., • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting, accounts payable, or expense auditing., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook., • Knowledge of accounting processes related to accounts payable, travel, and sales tax., • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills., • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
