Position Summary: The Program Director provides overall leadership and management for a DYCD-funded after-school program. This position is responsible for contract compliance, program quality, staff supervision, school partnership, family engagement, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment that meets DYCD performance indicators and agency standards. Primary Responsibilities Program Leadership & Compliance • Oversee all aspects of daily program operations in alignment with DYCD COMPASS/SONYC guidelines, SACC/DOHMH regulations, and agency policies., • Ensure compliance with enrollment targets, hours of operation, activity requirements, and staffing ratios., • Serve as primary contact for DYCD program managers, school administration, and agency leadership., • Prepare for and participatein DYCD site visits, monitoring, and audits; implement corrective action plans as needed. Program Design & Quality • In collaboration with the Education Specialist, ensure a balanced schedule that includes academics, enrichment, recreation, and social-emotional learning., • Monitor and support quality of instruction, youth engagement, and behavior management across all activities., • Use data (attendance, surveys, observations, assessments) to drive continuous program improvement., • Ensure youth voice and choice are integrated into program planning and activities. Staff Supervision & Development • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff (Assistant Director, Education Specialist, Group Leaders, Activity Specialists, Tutors, and Support Staff)., • Conduct regular staff meetings, one-on-ones, and performance evaluations., • Provide coaching and feedback; identify professional development needs and coordinate trainings., • Manage staff schedules, time sheets, and coverage to ensure adequate supervision and program continuity. School & Community Partnerships • Build and maintain strong relationships with school leadership, teachers, counselors, and support staff., • Coordinate with school-day personnel to align program activities with academic and social-emotional priorities., • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, arts/sports providers, and volunteers. Family Engagement & Communication • Promote regular communication with families through newsletters, calls, emails, meetings, and events., • Plan and oversee family engagement activities (family nights, showcases, orientations, etc.)., • Address parent/guardian concerns promptly and professionally., • Administration, Data, & Budget, • Ensureaccurateandtimelydata entry into DYCD Connect and any internal data systems (attendance, enrollment, activities)., • Track progress toward contract deliverables and prepare reports for agency leadership and funders., • Manage program budget in collaboration with central office; monitor expenses and purchasing within approved limits., • Maintain complete and organized program records (enrollment, incident reports, staff files, etc.). Required Skills/Experience: Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, Public Administration, or related field., • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in youth development, after-school, or related fields, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role., • Strong understanding of DYCD-funded programs, positive youth development, and NYC after-school landscape., • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and community partners. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Clinical Specialist will provide evidence-based assessments and interventions, case management services, family engagement, restorative practices, and clinical services. The Uplift program is a trauma and healing program for young men between the ages of 16-24 who have experienced exposure to violence, with a special focus on individuals in the justice system. The Uplift program provides therapeutic services and mentoring. Job DescriptionDescription: Under the direct supervision of the Senior Behavioral Health Support Supervisor, the Behavioral Health Support Supervisor (BHSS) will help build a strong team and shape staff behaviors to ensure high-quality services are being provided to youth and families. They will collaborate with the Behavioral Health Services Administration Team and Behavioral Health Support Workers (BHSWs) in growing and implementing standards and processes. The BHSS will be responsible for email correspondence, maintaining case documentation, and communicating upcoming deadlines to BHSWs in a timely manner. They must be extremely organized and able to perform at a high level of accuracy. The BHSS must maintain appropriate professional relationships with the Behavioral Health Services Administration Team, BHSWs, and families and their Care Teams to ensure optimal care and high-quality services. Requirements: MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Reviewing documentation (Progress Notes, Verification of Service Forms, Service Plans, etc.) from BHSWs to provide constructive feedback and request corrections when needed. ? Updating shared records of documentation (Service Plan due dates, authorization start and end dates). ? Referencing the youth’s Service Plans to ensure BHSWs are using the correct goal and objective on Progress Notes. ? Audit BHSWs’ utilization for accuracy and continuity of care in compliance with CFTSS and HCBS guidelines. ? Referencing authorization approval where applicable to ensure BHSWs are following the approved units and frequency of each service. ? Report service provision overutilization, including but not limited to fraud, waste, and abuse. ? Holding supervision meetings with assigned BHSWs to acknowledge strengths and advise on areas needing improvement. ? Communicating and following up effectively with the Director of Behavioral Health Services, Senior BHSS, and BHSWs regarding concerns that need immediate attention (pause in services, outstanding paperwork). ? Coordinating meetings between BHSWs, families, and the youth’s Care Team when needed. ? Collaborating with the Director of Behavioral Health Services on department meeting agendas. ? Assisting in leading department meetings and presenting applicable feedback regarding documentation and service provision. ? Attending and completing all mandatory OCFS trainings for provided services within six (6) months of hire date. ? Performing other responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATIONAL: ? Associate degree required ? Bachelor’s degree preferred EXPERIENCE: ? Supervisory experience ? At least 1 year of experience working with youth. ? At least 6 months of experience in the mental health field. PREFERRED SKILLS: ? Proficiency in Microsoft Office ? Excellent oral and written communication skills ? Bilingual (Spanish) ? Highly organized and detail-oriented SCHEDULE: ? Must work three (3) days per week from 9 am-5 pm. ? Must be present at mandatory meetings.
