As part of our continued growth, Sabina Estates is looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to join our development team in Ibiza. This is a hands‑on role for an engineer with a strong mechanical or electrical background and proven site experience in high-end residential or hospitality projects. You will contribute throughout the project lifecycle—from design review, tendering and value engineering through construction, testing and commissioning—ensuring that building services meet our technical, cost, programme and quality standards.The roleWorking on behalf of the developer, you will review multidisciplinary MEP designs and coordinate consultants, contractors, installers and site teams. You will take ownership of technical coordination and follow-up, identify risks and deviations early, and drive practical solutions through to completion.Key responsibilities- Coordinate the integration of all MEP packages with architecture, structures, interior design, landscaping and specialist systems.- Support procurement and tender evaluations, monitor target costs and lead value‑engineering exercises when cost‑plan objectives are at risk.- Review detailed designs, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and proposed changes across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.- Define MEP contract packages and prepare technical tender documentation for each discipline.- Coordinate contractors, installers, consultants, site management and other technical stakeholders throughout delivery.- Monitor installation progress, programme milestones and compliance with approved designs, specifications and company quality standards.- Inspect completed works, manage quality‑control processes and follow up defects and technical issues until close‑out.- Supervise testing, inspections, commissioning and handover of building services systems.- Review monthly valuations and relevant technical and project‑control documentation.- Prepare and review progress reports and participate in technical, site and coordination meetings.Technical capabilities- Knowledge of BIM methodology applied to MEP coordination.- Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit MEP or comparable design and coordination tools.- Strong planning, organization and follow‑up skills, with a rigorous and methodical approach.- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance design intent, technical performance, cost and programme.- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.- At least five years of experience managing, supervising and providing technical assistance for MEP installations, including substantial on‑site experience.- Proven experience in high‑end residential or luxury hospitality developments.- Strong working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building services.- Sound knowledge of the Spanish regulatory framework, including CTE, REBT, RITE and RIPCI.- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.- Experience coordinating contractors and suppliers in multidisciplinary project environments.- High, demonstrable level of professional English. Spanish is required for effective site and regulatory coordination.- Current residence in Ibiza or willingness to relocate to the island.The person we are looking forYou are proactive, collaborative and solutions oriented.
