Directs staff that performs the following duties and will also perform these duties on own: welcomes and registers hotel guests, explaining the accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment. Checks guest out of the hotel, preparing and explaining the bill. Responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies. This position reports to the Front Office Manager, as well to the Front Desk Manager. What you will do Manages the staff at the Front Desk. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed. Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups. Trains, develops and manages the performance of direct subordinates to ensure the efficient running of front office operations. Maximizes hotel revenue by controlling room inventory, group blocking, packages, up selling and reinforcing the late charge policy to maximize REVPAR. Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follows up on credit problems with Front Office Manager and/or Credit Manager. Reviews all paid-outs, rebates, Petty Cash disbursements and Direct Billings. Checks cashiers’ work at end of shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and endorsements. Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation. Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Reporting to the Engineering managers, you will oversee a team of Engineering and painter specialists responsible for all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities. What you will do: · Supervision of all engineering works necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and employees. · Oversee the smooth day to day operation of the Engineering department, ensuring 24 hour manning of the property. · Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with contractors and suppliers who will furnish reliable 24 hour emergency service as necessary. · Ensure proper execution of work order systems and that items are followed up on for completion. · Handling the purchasing of equipment, replacement parts and repairs, maintaining stock levels, including liaising with vendors and suppliers. · Work cohesively with Housekeeping to maintain our guest rooms to the highest levels of quality and functionality. What you will bring: · Proven experience in engineering, preferably within a large hotel that delivers five star quality. · Mechanical/Electrical experience is required. · The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels, across all areas, including contractors, suppliers, guests and of course our employees. · A passion for providing a great guest experience and impeccable product. · Solid verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. · Strong project management skills and exceptional organisational skills.
