About the role As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Prism products and supporting infrastructure in Azure. This is a hands-on role where you’ll design and optimize platform services, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes for enterprise-grade applications. This person should be a can-do, high-achieving individual with strong product and domain expertise, who thrives on collaboration and has experience building secure, resilient cloud infrastructure. You’ll champion engineering excellence and automation, foster best practices, and bring a genuine passion for technology and continuous improvement to everything you do. Location: Madrid, Spain. Permanent, Hybrid working model. Your responsibilities Develop and maintain Azure infrastructure using the appropriate tooling required. Design and configure CI/CD pipelines, containers, virtual networks, and monitoring dashboards. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for multi-tenant setups in Azure. Optimize performance and cost of Azure resources. Apply governance policies (Azure AD, security, networking). Collaborate with development, QA, and Product teams to ensure quality and timely delivery. Contribute to evolving scalable, secure, observable architectures (APIs, microservices, event-driven). Embed DevSecOps and SRE principles into platform engineering practices (SLOs, error budgets, incident management). Drive continuous improvement using metrics-led approaches (e.g., DORA). Your skills 8+ years of experience in delivering fast paced and agile system Engineering ideally in regulated FinTech or payments/banking/wealth. Mentored engineering teams of 10+ across multiple parallel product lines, guiding developers working within microservices architectures and Cloud‑native environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). Engineering excellence leader with deep SDLC mastery with a pragmatic implementation approach to architecture, platform and tooling. Embedded DevSecOps and automated policy and quality controls in delivery pipelines, ideally with Azure DevOps. Extensive change management experience and evidential metrics-based delivery capability. Standardised logging/metrics/tracing (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana); built comprehensive dashboards and runbooks. Owned Service reliability: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, chaos experiments, game days, incident command. Nice to haves-to-Haves Mortgage origination and servicing, Payments, core banking, or lending domain expertise. Production experience with Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), service meshes, and GitOps (Argo CD/Flux). Navigated PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR; partnered with Risk/Compliance and auditors and delivered audit-ready evidence. Privacy engineering (GDPR, data residency) Experience leading across multiple geographies/time zones. Success Metrics (what you will be measured on) DORA: Lead time, Deployment frequency, Change failure rate, MTTR. Reliability: SLO attainment (%), incident rate and severity mix, mean time to detect (MTTD). Quality: Escaped defects, defect density, automated test coverage, flaky test rate. Security/Compliance: Vulnerability SLA adherence, audit/control pass rate. Delivery & Product: Roadmap predictability, value throughput (e.g., OKR progress), time-to-market. People & Culture: eNPS, attrition of regrettable talent, internal mobility, DEI indicators. Cost & Efficiency: Cloud unit economics, cost-to-serve, build time, onboarding time to first PR.
