At Wake Engineering , a leading company in the design and manufacturing of high-performance UAS, we are looking for a UAS Pilot with a strong technical background to support our operations. Your Mission You will be part of the Flight Operations team, working closely with engineering, integration, and testing departments. You will be responsible for the safe execution of BVLOS missions, system maintenance, and providing technical support during flight campaigns. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute BVLOS missions in accordance with regulations and internal procedures. Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections, assembly, calibration, and maintenance. Manage mission documentation: flight logs, checklists, and technical reports. Configure and operate Ground Control Stations (GCS) and payload systems. Coordinate with engineering teams, clients, and airspace authorities. Participate in mission briefings, daily planning, and debriefings. Apply and support contingency and emergency procedures. Minimum Requirements Technical degree in Engineering, Electronics, Systems, Telecommunications, or equivalent vocational training. Valid UAS Pilot Certificate – Open Category (A1-A3) or Specific Category (STS / SORA). Proven experience in BVLOS operations . Experience with fixed-wing or VTOL UAVs , ideally over 25 kg MTOM. Familiarity with mission-planning and GCS software. Spanish proficiency (C1 or native) and English proficiency (B2/C1). Valid driving license and willingness to travel. Ideal Candidate We are seeking a disciplined, analytical, and technically minded professional, comfortable working in demanding operational environments. Experience in inspection, thermography, mapping, or flight testing is highly valued. Curiosity, initiative, and a strong safety mindset are essential.
