We’re looking for a Laser Production & Service Engineer to join a highly skilled, passionate team building some of the most advanced free‑space laser systems in the world. If you love hands-on engineering, international travel, and being at the heart of breakthrough scientific applications—this role is for you. ⭐ What You’ll Be Doing As a key member of a small, high-performing engineering team, you will: Production & Alignment Assemble and test mechanical, optical, and electronic subsystems following engineering drawings and documentation. Align complex free-space laser systems with exceptional precision. Characterize beam performance using tools such as autocorrelators, beam profilers, spectrometers, and power meters. ️ Service & Support Provide technical service for installed laser systems—both remotely and on-site at customer facilities worldwide. Diagnose issues, implement repairs, and carry out scheduled maintenance. Perform root‑cause analysis and deliver robust corrective actions. Continuous Improvement Contribute to process optimization, product quality improvements, and improved manufacturing efficiency. Support procurement activities and internal workflows where needed. What We’re Looking For You will thrive in this role if you have: A degree in Physics or Engineering (preferred). Hands-on experience with lasers or experimental optics. Strong practical skills in mechanical and electronic workshop environments. Ability to work with standard computer tools (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Willingness to travel internationally, including occasional weekends. Desirable: Experience with LabVIEW or similar technical programming tools.
