ph3About The Role /h3 pJoin our dynamic team in Málaga as a Senior Backend Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our Sportsbook domain, by working on the most impactful problems and being able to bring about change with effective momentum. You'll collaborate closely with our Staff Engineers, participating in tech meetings, validating architectural decisions, and ensuring seamless communication flow. Additionally, you'll work collaboratively with various teams, contributing to planning, tech solutions discussions, and feature development. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive solutions and actively shape our backend architecture. /p h3You Will Be Responsible For /h3 ul liTaking ownership, problem-solving and collaborating with other teams. /li liDesigning and implementing from idea to production. /li liBuilding for scale, availability, performance and security across the stack. /li liWorking with product managers, architects, QA engineers and other developers in a highly collaborative agile environment. /li liIntegrating new products and building internal services to support our ecosystem. /li liConducting code reviews and mentoring team members. /li liEnsuring services are production-ready, observable, and maintainable through monitoring, alerting, and on-call participation. /li /ul h3Essential Skills /h3 h3OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: /h3 ul li6+ Years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot and Event-Driven Architectures. /li liExperience designing Microservices, K8s and Containerization (Docker) and Kafka messaging systems. /li liKnowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and caching. /li liImplementing resilience patterns (e.g., retries, circuit breakers, graceful degradation). /li liDesigning and maintaining monitoring dashboards (e.g., metrics, logs, traces) and alerts to proactively detect issues. /li liHands-on experience developing highly scalable RESTful end-to-end Microservices. /li /ul h3Nice To Haves /h3 ul liFamiliarity with Reactive Programming (e.g. RxJava) and Vert.x would be a big plus. /li liExperience in platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Platform. /li liOnline gaming and gambling experience /li /ul h3Who We Are /h3 pAt the core of LeoVegas Group is Team Leo.
