For more details please visit ___ Overview We are seeking a Senior Product Manager specializing in Chemistry Products | Cheminformatics to lead our product transformation efforts in the life sciences domain. This senior role requires deep expertise in cheminformatics and the ability to drive strategic product initiatives while managing complex stakeholder relationships. In this position, you'll manage software products that serve computational chemists, medicinal chemists, and drug discovery scientists. Your products may include molecular design and visualization platforms, chemical structure databases and search tools, compound property prediction systems, reaction planning and synthesis design applications, and molecular simulation and docking platforms. You'll be responsible for understanding how chemists work—from hit identification and lead optimization to ADME/Tox prediction—and translating these complex scientific workflows into product requirements that balance user needs with technical feasibility. The ideal candidate understands the cheminformatics landscape, including molecular descriptors, fingerprints, similarity searching, and structure-activity relationships. You'll work closely with computational chemists and wet-lab scientists to ensure products deliver meaningful scientific value, while also driving the modernization of legacy chemistry applications into scalable, cloud-based platforms that integrate with broader drug discovery pipelines. What You’ll Do: Product Knowledge Transfer • Document existing product knowledge, including use cases, usage metrics, business processes, technical specifications, and documentation, • Analyze current product landscape, use cases, business processes and customer needs, • Follow existing processes to develop comprehensive product requirements, • Serve as the primary point of contact for business requests for assigned products, • Map relevant stakeholders (influence, needs, communication frequency) and develop tailored engagement strategies, • Execute stakeholder engagement strategies with agreed objectives, • Fulfill Product Manager responsibilities during product development phases, • Actively participate in planning sessions, stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies Requirements: Essential Core Skills • Strong business use case analysis capabilities, • Experience conducting user interviews, • Proven stakeholder mapping and management abilities, • Excellent requirements documentation writing skills, • Working knowledge of software product development, • Working knowledge of Cloud technologies, • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, • Proven agile development experience, • Cheminformatics expertise required, • Deep understanding of chemistry software workflows and computational chemistry applications, • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and scientific users in the chemistry domain Recommended Scientific Background & Technical Chemistry Expertise – Technical Product Management • Background in Chemistry, computational chemistry, or related scientific discipline, • Expertise in chemical compounding, simulations, and computational prediction, • Ability to understand and synthesize chemical characteristics, • Experience collaborating with in-lab chemists and scientists for scientific readouts, • Familiarity with Schrödinger products (lab design, data flow enablement, ordering process improvement), • Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry environments, • Understanding of authentication systems (SSO, LDAP), • Knowledge of zero-downtime deployment strategies, • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments, • Background in managing external vendor relationships and integration points, • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture, • Understanding of security and compliance requirements in enterprise environments, • Certification in relevant cloud technologies (GCP, etc.), • Experience migrating HPC workloads to cloud environments (specifically GCP), • Knowledge of GCP's HPC-specific offerings and configurations, • Familiarity with scientific or research computing applications common in pharmaceutical environments At Xebia, you will get the chance to work with passionate professionals within their field of expertise.
