As we expand our operations globally, we are seeking a Vice President of Global Scientific Operations to lead scientific and operational excellence, support global scale-up, and ensure strategic alignment across all sites. Job Summary As Vice President of Scientific Operations, you will lead Genoskin’s global non-clinical CRO activity, with a mandate to scale our scientific service capabilities and ensure scientific excellence, operational efficiency, and high-quality client delivery. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of Genoskin’s contract research services, including study design, execution, quality control, reporting, and client engagement. Your focus will be on growing the CRO activity in line with Genoskin’s global expansion strategy, particularly by strengthening the scientific team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring alignment with R&D, Marketing and commercial teams. This role requires strong expertise in skin immunology, histology (H&E), immunofluorescence, and emerging spatial biology technologies, which are at the heart of Genoskin’s data-driven approach. This role is a core member of Genoskin’s Executive Committee, actively contributing to weekly operational and commercial reviews as well as quarterly strategic planning and decision-making. You will work closely with the CEO and other executive leaders to help shape and scale a differentiated CRO offering based on Genoskin’s proprietary skin and immune models. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic & Scientific Leadership • Define and implement operational and scientific strategies that align with Genoskin’s business objectives., • Lead the execution of non-clinical studies, ensuring rigorous study design, implementation, and timely report delivery., • Oversee the production teams, ensuring that skin models and mast cells manufacturing follows Genoskin’s quality standards, timelines, and SOPs, • Maintain and enhance quality control, regulatory compliance, and scientific integrity in all operations-related activities., • Actively contribute as a core member of Genoskin’s Executive Committee, not only by providing updates, insights, and recommendations on laboratory operations, but also by helping drive the company’s overall direction and shaping its long-term strategy. 2. Laboratory & Team Management • Lead and mentor Study Directors, Scientists, and Group Managers across sites to ensure strong execution and scientific rigor., • Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of the CRO team to meet growing project demand and technical complexity., • Ensure smooth coordination and communication with the production teams providing skin and mast cell models for the studies., • Collaborate with the Site Directors to align resources, infrastructure, and timelines between services and production. 3. Client Engagement & Study Oversight • Support business development and project scoping by providing technical and operational input during pre-sales or proposal phases., • Ensure transparent communication with clients, proactively managing expectations and delivering high-quality outputs., • Strengthen customer engagement, ensuring that study results and technical reports are clearly communicated to clients. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with R&D to identify innovation opportunities and integrate new assays, biomarkers, and technologies into the CRO offering., • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to strengthen positioning and visibility of Genoskin’s service capabilities., • Support Finance in budget planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring for the CRO activity. 5. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization • Identify and implement improvements in laboratory workflows, study coordination, and project management., • Promote best practices in quality assurance, data integrity, documentation, and compliance., • Contribute to the digitalization and scalability of scientific operations through process automation and system optimization. Qualifications & Experience Education & Scientific Background • PhD + Postdoc in Immunology, Immunotoxicology, Toxicology, or a related field., • 10+ years of experience leading scientific operations in a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment., • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, including Study Directors and laboratory personnel at the global level., • Deep understanding of non-clinical regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks., • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple complex projects., • Prior involvement in Executive Leadership roles in a CRO is strongly preferred., • Experience supporting business development efforts, including customer interactions and proposal validation.
