Looking for Sous chef ready to become a Head chef
Job Description: As the Head Chef at Crudo, you are the leader of the kitchen, responsible for all aspects of culinary operations. Your role involves menu creation, staff management, cost control, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will drive the culinary vision of Crudo, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Create and innovate menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and seasonal availability.
Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work environment with the FOH and BOH team
Food Quality: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality, maintaining consistency and excellence.
Cost Control: Manage food costs, portion control, and inventory to optimise profitability.
Training: Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff, ensuring continuous improvement.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.
Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring: Evaluate kitchen staff performance, providing feedback and addressing any issues promptly.
Collaboration with FOH: Lead regular meetings with FOH management to align kitchen and service operations, ensuring that both teams work together harmoniously to enhance the overall guest experience.
Requirements:
Extensive experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent culinary skills and a creative approach to menu development.
Financial acumen with experience in cost control and inventory management.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during busy periods.
Progression:
Continued professional development through training and industry engagement.
Potential for roles in larger operations or multi-site management within the restaurant group.
