Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant/ Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for warehouse operations and driving duties, ensuring efficient handling of materials and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Manage stock levels and assist in building pallets for shipments
- Load and unload trucks with accuracy and efficiency
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments
- Pick and pack orders according to packing slips
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage
- Utilise mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- Operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory tracking
- Drive company vehicles to transport goods between locations in a safe manner
Requirements: - Experience in warehouse operations, including stock management and materials handling
- Proficiency in AS400 or similar inventory management software
- Ability to load/unload trucks and handle shipments effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of picking, packing, and shipping procedures
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
