What will you be doing Senior Financial Accountant Hybrid - Dorking 3 days a week (Flex to use London office one day per week) We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is a hands-on accounting role with a focus on managing the period-end close process ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and supporting senior stakeholders with high-quality financial insight. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to consolidate and interpret financial information you will also play a key role in supporting and coaching part-qualified team members. What will you bring Key Responsibilities: • Leading and coordinating the monthly and quarterly close processes across multiple accounting bases., • Preparing and reviewing journal entries reconciliations and supporting schedules., • Consolidating financial data and preparing clear concise summaries for senior management., • Supporting the delivery of audit requirements and maintaining robust financial controls., • Coaching and mentoring junior team members to build capability and ensure high standards., • Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes. About you: • Qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA AAT or equivalent) withseveral years post-qualification experience., • Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of period-end processes., • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines., • Confident communicator able to present complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders., • Collaborative team player, • Experience in financial services is beneficial butnot essential #LI-JM1 Why join us At Unum weve created a workplace where people feel supported to progress and grow and can see their ambitions coming to life.
