Legal Director – Residential Conveyancing (7+ PQE) Gloucester | Hybrid Working I’m working with a high-performing, nationally recognised conveyancing business on the appointment of a Legal Director to lead and shape their conveyancing team. This is a genuinely strong platform. There is already a consistent flow of quality work, an established introducer network, and a business that is set up properly. You are not being brought in to fix something broken or build from scratch, this is about stepping into a well-functioning environment and taking it to the next level. If you’re currently at Associate or Senior Associate level and finding yourself stuck in pure fee earning, this offers a clear move into leadership, without losing exposure to good quality work. The Role This is a leadership position with a blend of technical oversight and strategic input. You’ll be responsible for overseeing a broad range of residential conveyancing matters, acting as a key point of contact for queries, and ensuring consistency and quality across the team. Alongside this, you’ll play a role in developing and growing the firm’s sale and purchase offering, which is a key area of focus. The work is varied and often more involved than a typical volume environment. Expect a mix of freehold and leasehold transactions, alongside more complex matters such as lease extensions, title issues, new builds, and non-standard files. There is no requirement to bring a following. The work is already there and continues to grow. The Opportunity This role offers genuine influence. You’ll be working closely with senior leadership and will have a real say in how the team evolves. It’s an opportunity to step into a position where you can shape processes, raise standards, and have a tangible impact on how the team operates. For the right person, this is a move away from being just another fee earner into a role with broader responsibility and visibility. Working Environment Hybrid working with three days in the office and two from home. The culture is collaborative and high-performing, with a preference for individuals who are present, engaged, and invested in the team. About You • 7+ years’ PQE in residential conveyancing, • Strong technical grounding across a range of property matters, • Either already in a leadership role or ready to step into one, • Commercially aware and interested in contributing to growth, • Comfortable operating as a senior presence within a team If you’re open to a conversation, feel free to get in touch
