Van Technician - Backshift\n\n * Competitive Salary\n\n * Good working environment\n\n * Progression opportunities\n\n * Leading company\n\n * 4 day working week – weekly rotation – Monday to Thursday / Tuesday to Friday\n\nOur client in Leeds is looking for a Van Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our commercial vans to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with automotive systems, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle performance.\n\nThe Job\n\n * Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on company vans.\n\n * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.\n\n * Conduct engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and exhaust system repairs.\n\n * Maintain accurate service records and report on vehicle conditions.\n\n * Test vehicles after repairs to ensure safety and performance standards.\n\n * Order and manage parts inventory to support timely maintenance.\n\n * Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.\n\n * Collaborate with the fleet team to schedule repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.\n\n * Stay updated on the latest van technologies, tools, and repair methods.\n\nAbout You\n\n * Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with commercial vans.\n\n * Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.\n\n * Familiarity with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.\n\n * Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\n * Valid driver’s license (Class B or relevant) is often required.\n\n * Certification in automotive repair or related field is a plus.\n\nTo apply, in confidence, please send your CV to James @ TRF
