Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress with us. \n Where will I be working? \n Our services in Thornton provide a 24 hour facilities in providing care for 11 adults with Learning Disabilities and additional health issues. \n We endeavour to create positive family relationships offering a good circle of support. There is a strong focus on supporting individuals' lives in a person centred way which includes various activities, shopping, managing own budgets and cooking. We tailor our services to enable people to be as independent as possible. \n You will work as part of a large staff team covering various shift patterns including occasional night shifts. \n Please note: in this service we support people with complex learning disabilities and there are high levels of personal care involved. \n Training and Development \n We offer training to all those who want to develop their skills and competencies not just in the care sector but in other areas too. \n\n • Level 2 and 3 Lead Adult Care Worker\n, • promoting the independence of people we support\n, • supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday\n, • arranging activities in the home and in the local community\n, • developing residents' life skills and personal interests\n, • helping residents stay safe and healthy\n, • assisting with personal care needs\n, • manual handling\n, • supporting people with medication including creams and lotions\n, • passionate, caring and enthusiastic\n, • flexible, patient and non-judgemental\n, • a great team player with lots of energy\n, • able to demonstrate good communication skills\n, • able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling where needed\n, • \n \n LD_Support_Worker_-_New_Format (1).pdf\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n Apply \n \n \n
