Commercial Plumber Facilities Management Location: PortsmouthJob Type: Full-Time / PermanentAbout the Role We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumber to join our growing Facilities Management team, working across commercial properties and client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, repairs, compliance tasks, and installation work within a fast-paced FM environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled plumber who is confident working independently while delivering high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive plumbing works across commercial buildingsDiagnose and repair faults on plumbing and water systems efficientlyInstall, maintain, and repair pipework, sanitary ware, valves, pumps, TMVs, and associated plumbing equipmentCarry out maintenance on hot and cold-water systems, boosted systems, expansion vessels, and drainage systemsConduct Legionella control tasks in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelinesComplete routine water temperature monitoring and recordingCarry out flushing of little-used outlets and dead leg identificationAssist with remedial works arising from Legionella risk assessmentsMonitor and maintain TMVs including inspection, servicing, and temperature testingSupport water hygiene compliance across client sitesComplete water sampling and assist specialist subcontractors when requiredEnsure plant rooms and water systems are maintained to statutory compliance standardsRespond to emergency plumbing call-outs and system failuresAccurately complete job sheets, compliance paperwork, and digital reportsEnsure all works are completed safely and in accordance with company health & safety proceduresLiaise professionally with site managers, clients, and subcontractors while maintaining excellent customer service standardsRequirements NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)Proven experience within commercial plumbing or Facilities ManagementGood understanding of commercial water systems and plant equipmentKnowledge of Legionella compliance and water hygiene regulationsAbility to fault-find and resolve plumbing issues independentlyStrong communication and organisational skillsDesirable Legionella Awareness or Water Hygiene qualificationsExperience working to ACOP L8 guidelinesIPAF, PASMA, or other relevant site certificationsBasic HVAC or mechanical maintenance knowledgeExperience using CAFM systems or digital compliance softwareTPBN1_UKTJ
