Site Manager – Civil Engineering Permanent | Bristol / Newport Area An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established, family-owned construction business delivering major civil engineering and groundworks projects across the South West and South Wales. With over 40 years of experience, our client has built a reputation for delivering high-quality construction, earthworks, infrastructure and demolition projects for both public and private sector clients. The Role Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects across the Bristol and Newport region, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Manage all on-site operations from mobilisation through to completion., • Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers., • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards., • Coordinate plant, labour and materials to achieve programme objectives., • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, engineers and stakeholders., • Complete site documentation including RAMS, permits, inspections and progress reports., • Monitor project performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively., • Ensure projects are delivered to specification and company standards. About You You will be an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in civil engineering or groundworks and be confident managing projects independently. Essential: • Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering., • Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, highways, reinforced concrete or infrastructure projects., • Excellent leadership and communication skills., • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site activities., • SMSTS., • CSCS Management Card., • First Aid at Work., • Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable: • Temporary Works Coordinator., • NRSWA Supervisor., • CPCS Appointed Person or relevant plant knowledge.
