Horizonal Directional Drilling (HDD) & Outfall Lead Location: Redcar (with ad hoc travel to London) Contract: 12 Months (Q2 2026 – Q2 2027) Status: Outside IR35 Rate: Day Rate We are currently seeking an experienced HDD & Outfall Lead to support a major offshore installation project. This role will oversee horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and outfall activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution from design through to installation. Key Responsibilities • Manage HDD subcontractors, including coordination of progress, technical, and risk review meetings, • Review and coordinate subcontractor documentation, including designs, procedures, and as-built records, • Prepare and deliver project reporting for installation and engineering meetings, • Act as the key interface across disciplines (HSE, QA/QC, Engineering, Drafting) and with contractors, • Supervise all HDD site activities, including mobilisation, installation, execution, testing, and demobilisation (onshore and offshore)Candidate Requirements, • Proven experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) within construction or offshore projects, • Strong understanding of subcontractor management and site execution, • Experience interfacing across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, • Knowledge of diving support operations is advantageous, • Valid OGUK MedicalIf you are interested, please apply

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience in building electro-mechanical assemblies and working with both mechanical and electrical components. You'll be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, upgrading and repairing assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs), ensuring all work meets quality and functional standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble small electro-mechanical components according to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs. Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as torque drivers, micrometers and verniers. Perform assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, and lubrication. Connect cables and wires following technical specifications. Conduct tests and inspections to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any product issues. Maintain the equipment used in electronic assembly processesRequirements Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs. Experience assembling components such as fans, motors and heaters. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly (desirable). Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components. Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling small parts. Comfortable using small assembly tools and measuring equipment. Fine soldering skills for small components. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic IT skills.Additional Requirements Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for BPSS Clearance. Ability to provide a minimum of 5 years' employment history. Will be subject to a CRB check and address verification
