SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Rugby, CV21 Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) per week Start Date: ASAP Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm Contract: Monday - Friday, long-term temp to perm. Long Term Futures is working closely with a welcoming OFSTED 'Good' primary school in Rugby to recruit several SEN Teaching Assistants for long-term opportunities, with scope to become permanent. Three Exciting Roles Available in School 1. EYFS - 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Nursery pupil with Autism and ASD, who has an EHCP and additional communication needs. You will use a play-based, nurturing approach to support their engagement with the EYFS curriculum, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver consistent, tailored support. 2. Year 1 - SEN Teaching Assistant (2:1 Support) Support two pupils with ASD who have limited speech and shorter attention spans, both with EHCPs. The children are transitioning into Year 1 but will continue to access elements of the Reception curriculum. This role focuses on supporting routine, engagement and communication, with some opportunity to provide general classroom support in Year 2 during afternoons. 3. EYFS - Blended SEN Support Role (Nursery & Reception) A varied role split between Nursery and Reception, providing general classroom support in Nursery and delivering targeted 2:1 support in Reception for two pupils with EHCPs (including Down's Syndrome and non-verbal ASD). The role may also include light general TA duties in Year 2 during the afternoons, offering a broad and engaging experience across year groups. Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience working in a primary school setting A Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification (or equivalent) Confidence supporting across different year groups, specifically Early Years and KS1 Experience supporting children with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, Behavioural Needs or similar needs) Ability to deliver both small group interventions and 1:1 and 2:1 support A genuine passion for supporting children's developmentAbout the School: Two-form entry primary school Part of a supportive Multi-Academy Trust OFSTED rated 'Good' Strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing Easily accessible by public transportApply with your CV today to discuss this role in further detail.
