With a competitive FTE salary of £180,880 and a pro-rata salary of £108,528 for 22.5 hours per week, this role is perfect for those looking to balance their professional and personal lives. About Us\n Located in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital is a leading mental health facility that provides comprehensive services for adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders across four specialized wards. Our hospital is easily accessible via public transport, with local bus routes and Preston railway station nearby, as well as convenient access to the M55 motorway. Your Role\n As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in patient recovery. Your responsibilities will include: \n\n • Providing clinical leadership and taking overall responsibility for patient care.\n, • Leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessments, strategic reviews, and therapeutic planning.\n, • Acting as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).\n, • Overseeing referrals, admissions, and contributing to pre-admission assessments.\n, • Providing specialist psychiatric expertise to multidisciplinary assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n To thrive in this role, you should possess: \n\n • MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification) and a CCT (or equivalent).\n, • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.\n, • Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the specialty.\n, • The ability to work within and lead a team, with a commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working.\n, • Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.\nWhat We Offer You\n At Priory, we are committed to your success and well-being.
