Part-Time Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Location: Rotherham | Part‑time (3 days per week) Salary: £55,000–£60,000 FTE (pro rata, dependent on experience) We are seeking a part‑time HCPC‑registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a specialist inpatient service supporting adults with complex mental health and co‑morbid presentations. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, delivering excellent psychological care to individuals presenting with complex needs, including (but not limited to): • Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), • Complex trauma, • Personality disorders, • Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), • Disordered eating, • Depression, OCD and self‑harm This post is open to: • Experienced psychologists well established in their careers, and, • Recently qualified psychologists looking to develop expertise within a specialist inpatient environment. The Role You will play a pivotal role in embedding psychological thinking across the multidisciplinary team and in supporting patients and families through assessment, formulation and intervention. Key responsibilities include: • Delivering specialist psychological interventions in individual, group and family formats, • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, assistant psychologists, therapeutic support workers and autism champions, • Supporting vulnerable adults to develop skills and resilience in preparation for life beyond hospital, • Contributing to a psychologically informed culture across the service You will receive regular supervision from a Consultant or Senior Clinical Psychologist and be part of a supportive and expanding psychological therapies service with strong peer support. Clinical Experience & Therapeutic Approaches This post would suit motivated and compassionate psychologists with experience in, or a strong interest in: • Inpatient and/or forensic mental health settings, • Eating disorders and complex co‑morbid presentations, • Trauma‑focused CBT, CBT‑ED, DBT, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), • Adapting psychological interventions for neurodivergent adults About You You will be: • Empathetic, compassionate and professionally boundaried, • Clinically confident and reflective, • A strong team player, comfortable working face‑to‑face within an inpatient setting This is primarily an on‑site role, reflecting the relational nature of inpatient psychological work.
