SEN Teaching Assistant Permanent | Full-Time | Term Time Only Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire East Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 per annum (actual salary, dependent on experience and qualifications) Hourly Rate: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only About the School We are working with an independent specialist school in Wilmslow, supporting children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated needs. The Role The school are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a committed and supportive team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development, helping them to feel safe, valued, and confident in their abilities. Key Responsibilities • Support pupils with learning activities and personal care needs, • Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing, • Build warm, trusting relationships with pupils, • Assist teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum, • Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils, • Support safeguarding and uphold the school’s values and ethos About You The school are looking for someone who is: • Compassionate, enthusiastic, and child-focused, • Flexible and adaptable in supporting pupils with diverse needs, • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C / Level 3 or above), • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, • Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, • Knowledge or experience of SEN, SEMH, or ASD What’s on Offer • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day, • A supportive and welcoming school environment, • Ongoing training and professional development, • The opportunity to work within a highly regarded specialist setting If you are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and would like to be part of a dedicated and caring team, we would love to hear from you.
