Smart Global Logistics Ltd. is a professional HGV transport company based in London, operating across the UK, with a fleet of well-maintained articulated lorries. We are currently looking for reliable and experienced Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for long-distance deliveries and collections across the UK. This is a tramping role, meaning you will be staying out in the truck overnight for several nights per week (usually 4-5 nights out). Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (artic) vehicle across UK routes Carry out pre-use checks and ensure vehicle is roadworthy Secure loads properly and comply with load safety regulations Deliver and collect goods on time and in good condition Complete delivery paperwork and digital logs accurately Follow UK driving laws, working time directives, and tachograph regulations Maintain a clean and professional vehicle Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers Requirements:
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred Previous tramping experience is an advantage Good knowledge of UK road network and driving regulations Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated Right to work in the UK What We Offer:
