Job Title: Multiskilled Electrical Engineer Location: Colindale Salary: Up to £45000 per annum Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm 2 positions available Overview We are seeking experienced Multiskilled Electrical Engineers to join a large on-site engineering team at a government buliding. This is an excellent opportunity for electrically biased engineers with strong building services experience to work within a critical and high-profile environment. The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining the site’s electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building systems, • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and control panels, • Monitor, operate, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS), • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, and temperature control systems, • Perform electrical testing, inspections, and minor installation works, • Support maintenance of pumps, motors, generators, and associated plant equipment, • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency situations during night shifts, • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures, • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical reports, • Liaise with subcontractors and site management to ensure smooth site operations, • Support continuous improvement and reliability of all critical building services systems Requirements • Strong electrical bias with good all-round building services maintenance knowledge, • Experience working with BMS, HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, and electrical distribution systems, • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification essential, • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, • Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance, • Ability to work independently and confidently during night shifts, • F-Gas certification desirable but not essential Package & Benefits • Salary up to £45,000 per annum, • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Overtime opportunities available, • Long-term stability within a well-established engineering team, • Career progression and training opportunities available
