From ground investigations and earthworks assessments to geotechnical design and risk management, you'll play a key role in delivering projects that keep critical infrastructure moving.\n\nWhat's in it for you?\n\nWork on a diverse portfolio of rail and infrastructure projects across the UK\nA balance of office, site and client-facing work\nOpportunity to develop technical expertise in geotechnical design and ground engineering\nGreater project ownership and responsibility\nDirect involvement in ground investigations and site activities\nMentoring and support towards Chartered status\nClear progression opportunities within a growing consultancy\nWork alongside experienced Civil, Structural and Geotechnical specialists\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Engineering Geologist / Senior Engineering Geologist, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, helping clients understand ground conditions, manage risk and develop safe, practical engineering solutions.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nProducing high-quality geotechnical interpretative reports\nDeveloping and interpreting ground models\nUndertaking geotechnical assessments for earthworks, slopes and associated infrastructure\nCarrying out Preliminary Risk Assessments and Mining Risk Assessments\nReviewing technical reports, drawings and calculations\nSupervising ground investigations and site works\nSupporting project and contract management activities\nManaging programme, budget and quality requirements\nAttending client meetings and technical discussions\nSupporting business development and framework opportunities\nMentoring junior engineers and geologists\nYou'll have the opportunity to combine technical expertise, site experience and client interaction while working on projects that deliver tangible benefits to the UK's transport infrastructure.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou'll likely be an Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical professional who enjoys technical problem solving and wants to continue developing their career within a consultancy environment.\n\nYour experience may include:\n\nGround investigation planning, supervision and reporting\nGeotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIRs)\nGround modelling and geotechnical assessments\nEarthworks inspections and reporting\nMining Risk Assessments and Preliminary Risk Assessments\nGeotechnical design and analysis\nRail, infrastructure or civil engineering projects\nSite supervision and contractor management\nYou'll ideally hold a degree in Geology or a related discipline and may already be working towards Chartered status or recently achieved professional accreditation.\n\nWhy Consider This Opportunity?\n\nMany engineering geology roles focus heavily on reporting or site work.
