You will develop our teachers through CPD training whilst working collaboratively with other departments across the business to ensure an innovative programme of activities are delivered on time and within budget.\n\nYou will also be a key holder for the building and therefore will be responsible for opening and closing the site whilst on shift. Our sites are open from 6am - 10pm so flexibility with working hours is required. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCoordinate and manage the swimming programme, ensuring it is operated in accordance with the Swim England Teaching Plan. \nEnsure the swim school brand is fully implemented at the centre. \nDrive Swim School occupancy, working closing with other managers to optimize pool usage.\nAssist schools with school swimming booking processes \nForge positive working relationships with the local Swimming Clubs, Schools and the Council’s Sports Development Team to the benefit of the Learn to Swim Programme and swimming in general. \nTeach swimming lessons across all stages and abilities of the swimming programme if and when required\nLine management (swim instructor, school instructors) responsibilities for recruitment, induction, delivering training, appraisal, development, and performance management of staff, including one-to-ones \nDeal with any H&S incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns & report on the management system.\nProvide clear leadership with regards to compliance with all health and safety procedures and requirements, fixing or escalating issues as appropriate. \nSupported by the Technical Trainer you will ensure NPLQ CPD, comp test, requirements are complied with at the Centre \n\nExperience and Qualifications Required\n\nLevel 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification\nExperience working in wet operations ideally and be now looking to move into a senior or management position\nExcellent communication skills \nThe ability to meet set targets and deadlines, and be pro-active in your duties\nThe ability to mentor, motivate, coach and develop team members and customers to achieve their potential\nExcellent communication skills and experience delivering first class customer service is also essential\nIdeally hold or be able to work towards a First Aid at Work Qualification\nIdeally hold or be able to work towards a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)\n\nDue to the needs of the business and the department, we may interview suitable candidates before the closing date.
