The Corporate Development & Capital Markets Manager will join a team of highly experienced finance professionals responsible for the corporate development, partnerships, structured financings, and maintenance of financings, including acquisitions, equity capital raises, revolving credit facilities, term loans, securitisation programmes, and other structured financings in EMEA, APAC, and North America. The position holder will be directly exposed to banks, flow providers, institutional investors, corporate clients / partners, and Glow’s financial management team. The manager will work in a hybrid work setting, on a full-time basis, based out of Glow’s office, near Paddington Station, in London. Key Responsibilities: Working in a small, collaborative, and highly visible team within the organisation, the associate’s role will entail: 1. Internal corporate financial modelling for Glow’s parent & subsidiaries • Modelling Embedded Finance / Fintech & SaaS operating units, • Structured finance modelling, • Supporting FP&A with modelling, as needed 2. Supporting the originating, structuring, and executing revolving credit facilities, term loans, securitisation programmes, and other structured financings; • Credit risk modelling & portfolio analytics support (for audits, etc.), as needed 3. Monitoring, regulatory reporting, running, and amending transactions through their lives, 4. Equity capital fundraising support, 5. Diligence of acquisition targets, 6. Producing related marketing material, such as information memorandums, term sheets, bank presentations, investor presentations, etc.; and,, 7. Organising & attending industry, bank & investors presentations, roadshows & conferences as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The Manager will hold a university degree and will have gained experience (from 3 to 7 years) from a previous position at a: • Investment banks (e.g. FIG/FinTech coverage, securitisation, structured finance, leveraged / asset-based finance, and corporate finance) – ABS desk experience will also be considered;, • Embedded Finance Corporate with similar financing activities (e.g. corporate finance, structured capital markets, etc.); or,, • Consultancy firm or derivatives valuation services team of one of the large accounting firms The individual will have an excellent business/financial academic background and have gained solid understanding of financial and accounting principles associated with practical implementation in cash flow modelling. More specifically the individual must demonstrate at least the following: • Good knowledge of accounting, borrowing base determinations, and cash flow analysis;, • Corporate financial & structured financial modelling is essential;, • Familiarity with growth equity capital;, • Ability to explain clearly financial concepts to non-expert audience, • Practical understanding of financial statements;, • Ability to negotiate transaction terms with banks, investors and other stakeholders;, • Project evaluation and investment framework;, • Experience in cash flow modelling (Excel);, • CFA/ACA/ACCA/CMA certifications are a plus; and,, • Ability to learn and utilise financial information tools Other key attributes: • Fluent English (written and spoken to business standard);, • A confident & motivated individual with energy, commitment and positive “can-do” attitude;, • A problem-solver able to gather different viewpoints from multiples sources and process complex and unorganised information flows;, • A well-organised individual with attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication;, • A curious individual with a desire to learn and the ambition to grow at a fast pace to become a successful professional;, • An individual who strives to deliver results and perform under pressure;, • An individual with outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships both externally and internally; and,, • Ability to integrate feedback and permanently seek to improve performance.
