A great opportunity for a junior design engineer to join an expanding building services based company, specialising in building safety. Key Responsibilities • Assist in creating system layout drawings and design documents using CAD software., • Support senior engineers in producing calculations, schematics, and technical designs., • Help prepare technical documentation, equipment schedules, and O&M information., • Undertake site surveys and support feasibility assessments when required., • Communicate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to resolve basic design queries., • Ensure all work is accurate, compliant, and delivered to required standards., • Some experience in M&E, building services, general construction, or related engineering environments., • Basic to intermediate experience using CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)., • Ability to read or interpret drawings is beneficial., • Strong willingness to learn technical concepts such as hydraulic systems, compliance standards, and engineering principles., • Good communication skills and attention to detail., • Problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for developing a career in engineering design., • Understanding of mechanical or electrical building systems., • Exposure to fire protection systems or building compliance (advantageous but not required)., • Full training and development pathway into an engineering design career., • Great onsite facilities, • Competitive salary and progression opportunities., • Supportive environment with mentorship from experienced engineers., • Opportunity to work on real, varied engineering projects across multiple sectors.
