London - Corporate Real Estate Lawyer - Junior We are instructed by the London office of a leading US law firm to support the continued growth of its Corporate Real Estate / Real Estate Private Equity practice. The team is looking to make multiple hires across the 2–6 PQE range, with particular interest at 2–3 PQE. This is a strategic growth phase rather than a replacement search, offering the chance to join a high-performing, sponsor-focused transactional team operating at the top end of the market. The Practice The London Corporate Real Estate group forms part of the global platform of Jones Day, advising sponsors, institutional investors and corporates on complex UK and cross-border real estate driven transactions. The work sits at the intersection of Corporate/M&A and Real Estate Private Equity and includes acquisitions and disposals of real estate-backed platforms, joint ventures, portfolio transactions and sophisticated investment structuring. Associates are closely integrated with the firm’s corporate, funds, finance and tax teams, both in London and internationally, giving exposure to fully coordinated, multi-jurisdictional mandates. The London team is partner-led by David Smith and Paul Gunther (both trained and retained at the firm), alongside Steven Baker and Charles Stringer. The associate group is intentionally lean (circa 8–12 lawyers across the broader offering), meaning juniors and mid-levels gain early responsibility, direct partner access and involvement in marquee mandates. The Opportunity This role is suited to strong corporate lawyers who want exposure to investment-driven real estate transactions rather than pure asset-level real estate work.
