Full time contract 35-48 hours per week About Duck and Rice 'An eclectic pub in Battersea Power Station with a world-class Chinese kitchen' We do what we do best, serving up game-changing dim sum, mouth-watering Cantonese cuisine and an eponymous dish that attracts connoisseurs from around the world. We are looking for Commis Waiters to join our Duck and Rice Team. The Role The Commis Waiter primary role is to act as a seamless connection between floor and kitchen. The Commis Waiter ensures all necessary conditions are met for the Waiters to serve the table, whilst being responsible for an immaculate waiter station and floor at all times. They provide support and assistance as and when needed, even before it is requested, and may assist with table service. Supporting the smooth running of service, the performance of the Commis Waiter ensures a flawless, undisrupted unity of service for each guest. Skills and Experience requirement for Commis: The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience working as a Food Runner, in a well-established restaurant, private members club or comparable establishment. He/she will have refined skills in all aspects of table service and maintenance, as well as developed food and wine knowledge. Asian cuisine knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
