28,000 per annum\n Tues–Sat, 8am–5pm (40 hours per week)\n Location: Salford, Manchester\n\nA leading Build to Rent organisation is seeking a proactive and resident‑focused Maintenance Technician to join their team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents enjoy an exceptional living experience through high‑quality maintenance, prompt issue resolution, and a commitment to outstanding service. The role is based in Salford, Manchester.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWorking closely with the Service Manager and wider community team, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of a modern residential development. Your work will directly support resident satisfaction and the overall safety, presentation, and smooth running of the community.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage and complete reactive maintenance tasks, diagnosing and resolving resident issues efficiently\nCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and maintain accurate records\nLiaise with external contractors to coordinate repairs\nSupport re‑let preparations including painting, regrouting and general maintenance\nMaintain communal areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and high presentation standards\nFollow all safety protocols, including fire safety procedures\nConduct daily building walks and maintain shared spaces such as corridors, lifts, car parks, lounges, and courtyards\nCollaborate with the Service Manager and team on all maintenance and presentation requirements\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nExperience in practical maintenance tasks such as carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating\nBasic plumbing and electrical skills\nA confident communicator who builds strong relationships\nReliable, flexible, and committed to going the extra mile\nStrong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage workload independently\nProfessional and positive interaction with residents, suppliers, and team members\nTech‑savvy and comfortable using digital communication tools\nH&S knowledge or IOSH certification is preferred (training can be provided)
