With nationwide reach, regional expertise, and a commitment to excellent service, we are well-positioned to support our clients now and in the futureRole Overview:We are seeking a Supervisor (Gas qualified) to oversee and lead a team of gas engineers across our field based operational engineers. You'll ensure that your teams work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Gas Safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in gas systems, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to quality assurance and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support a team of Gas Engineers across planned and reactive maintenance, installations, and inspectionsCarry out quality control checks and post-inspection audits to ensure compliance with Gas Safe and company standardsProvide technical advice and on-site guidance to engineers for complex gas installations or fault diagnosticsLead on communication and deliver toolbox talks and ensure all team members follow health & safety protocols, risk assessments, and safe working practicesEnsure all gas-related works are correctly documented, including issuing gas safety certificates and maintenance reportsSupport training and mentoring of junior engineers or apprenticesLiaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments to resolve issues and maintain high service delivery standardsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of gas legislation and ensure the company remains compliant with all regulatory requirementsAssist with stock control, equipment calibration, and tool condition checks for gas-related tools and partsGeneral Supervision of field-based teams - managing and monitoring employee absence, reviewing performance and quality, conducting investigations where necessary and recruitment initiativesProvide support when mobilising new contracts, with the ability to put your own personal stamp on the situationAssist with technical support, and mentoring and training of engineersWork within and deliver to set budgets ensuring KPI's are met along with contractual complianceEnsure you have full operational duties on your contracts and attend contract meeting with clients when requiredMonitor parts usage and ensuring regular van stock checks are undertakenChampion customer service, diffuse and satisfactorily resolve escalated complaints, responding to feedback from customers and clients and take appropriate action;Performance data production, analysis, and reportingTranslate corporate objectives into operational achievements and successSkills & Experience Valid domestic gas qualifications : CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)A full UK driving license (essential)Experience in working in domestic heating and previous practical Supervisory experience, ideally within a Gas/Utilities capacity (essential)Knowledge of current gas regulations, standards, and Health & Safety legislationExcellent leadership and communication skillsAbility to resolve issues promptly and effectivelyWhat we offer?We offer a range of benefits designed to support your lifestyle whilst working for Sureserve and outside of work, some of these include: £37,000-£40,000 depending on experienceCompany vehicle and fuel card suppliedUniform, PPE & mobile device suppliedContributory pension schemeLife assurance20 days + Bank holidays (service based increasing holiday scheme)Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption leave and other family friendly policiesSureserve Benefits Hub, accessing over 1000 retail discountsVirtual GP service, available for employees and immediate familyEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Bike2Work SchemeEV Car SchemeEmployee engagement events and "Employee Voice" programmesStrong opportunities for career growth and development"Sureserve Legends" - celebrating the fantastic ways in which our employees live our valuesCommitted to Diversity & InclusionSureserve is an equal opportunities employer, dedicated to nurturing a diverse and inclusive work environment.
