Job Title: Teacher of Design & Technology (DT) Location: Secondary School, Ealing, West London Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, in line with experience (MPS/UPS) We are working in partnership with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Ealing to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a well-resourced DT department within a school that values innovation, practical learning, and academic achievement. The Role: • Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4), with potential KS5 depending on experience, • Deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons across DT disciplines, • Inspire students through hands-on learning and real-world design challenges, • Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the DT department, • Ensure high standards of health and safety in workshops and practical environments, • Monitor, assess, and support student progress to maximise attainment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential, • A degree or strong background in Design & Technology or a related field, • Experience teaching DT at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential; KS5 desirable), • Strong practical workshop skills and subject knowledge, • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities, • Excellent classroom management and a commitment to safe working practices What the School Offers: • A supportive and collaborative DT department, • Well-equipped workshops and modern facilities, • Opportunities for professional development and career progression, • Motivated students who enjoy practical, creative learning, • Strong leadership and a positive school culture If you are a passionate DT teacher looking to make an impact in a forward-thinking West London school, we would love to hear from you.
