Could you be our next Environment Enforcement Officer? Environmental Enforcement Officers enforce local laws to protect the area from litter, dog fouling, various other breaches and local bye-law violations. You will be issuing tickets and notices to those who breach these. So, what can you expect as an EEO? As an overview, the role is to help members of the public by patrolling the streets and upholding environmental conducts. What will you do?Monitor and enforce laws within the area, make enquiries and pursue action where appropriateExamine reports of littering, fly tipping and dog fouling and other similar offencesBe able to issue Fixed Penalty Notices for offences where appropriatePrepare and submit relevant cases for trial and assist legal services in presenting cases to court and attending as a witness when neededRecord witness statements and conduct interviews under caution when requiredValidate and verify personal details of offendersAnd finally, build good working relations with key investors and other agencies including the PoliceWhat will you bring?Experience of enforcement work (including security work) preferredKnowledge of green services such as cleansing, and waste collection is desiredBe able adapt and engage with different audiences and work as part of a teamBe able to deal with complaints and resolve complex issuesEnthusiasm and a positive can do attitude to workA full clean driving licenceSo, could this role be for you?
