Office Manager - Primary School \n Potters Bar, Hertfordshire \n Immediate Start | Full-Time | Permanent or Temporary \n Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 FTE (dependent on experience) \n Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to join a welcoming primary school in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire for an immediate start. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and proactive Office Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy school office. Applications will only be considered from candidates with previous experience working in a school office and strong working knowledge of the Arbor Management Information System (MIS). \n The Role \n As Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school's administrative functions. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee office procedures, support staff, and help deliver an outstanding service to pupils, parents, and visitors. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school office, ensuring efficient administrative systems and procedures.\n, • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and external agencies, providing a professional and welcoming service.\n, • Oversee financial administration, including payments, record-keeping, and compliance with school procedures.\n, • Manage the school's communications, including the main office inbox and internal correspondence.\n, • Administer admissions, attendance, pupil records, and onboarding using Arbor.\n, • Coordinate school events, manage office supplies, and oversee resources and equipment.\n, • Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, including organising training and meetings.\n, • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and other statutory requirements.\n, • Support school marketing and communications, including newsletters, website updates, and social media where required.\n\n Essential Requirements \n\n • Previous experience working within a school office is essential.\n, • Strong working knowledge of Arbor MIS is essential.\n, • Experience in a school Office Manager or senior school administration role.\n, • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.\n, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\n, • A proactive, professional, and solution-focused approach.\n, • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting the wider school community.\n\n Hours \n Full-time, Monday to Friday \n Interviews are being arranged immediately, so early applications are encouraged. \n For a confidential discussion about this opportunity and further information about the school, please contact Carlo at Tradewind Recruitment on . \n Alternatively, email your CV to
