Consultant Psychiatrist – CAMHS Emotional Disorders Team \n Location: Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) \n Contract Type: Full-Time | Maternity Leave Cover \n Rate: £100–£125 per hour \n Start Date: As soon as possible \n About the Role \n We are recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS Emotional Disorders Team (EDT) within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) on a maternity leave cover basis. \n This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly specialist and well-established multidisciplinary CAMHS service alongside a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist, supporting children and young people presenting with a range of emotional disorders including: \n\n • \n Depression \n • \n Anxiety disorders \n • \n OCD \n • \n PTSD \n • \n Related emotional and mental health presentations \n\n The Emotional Disorders Team provides specialist assessment and treatment planning for children and young people following CAMHS triage, working within evidence-based pathways and a collaborative MDT structure. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • \n Provide senior psychiatric leadership within the Emotional Disorders Team alongside the substantive Consultant Psychiatrist \n • \n Conduct: \n \n • \n Initial psychiatric assessments \n • \n Risk assessments \n • \n Diagnostic assessments \n • \n Treatment planning and reviews \n \n • \n Initiate and monitor pharmacological treatments where appropriate \n • \n Support and contribute to weekly MDT and post-assessment meetings \n • \n Provide clinical leadership and support to the wider MDT \n • \n Contribute to evidence-based care planning and service development \n • \n Work collaboratively with families, schools, community services, and external agencies \n • \n Support trainee doctors and MDT colleagues within the service \n\n About the Team \n The Emotional Disorders Team currently includes: \n\n • \n Consultant Child Psychiatrists \n • \n Specialty Trainees \n • \n Core Trainees \n • \n Specialty Doctors \n • \n Family Therapists \n • \n Psychologists \n • \n Child Psychotherapists \n • \n Clinical Nurse Specialists \n • \n Systemic Practitioners \n • \n Dedicated Administrative Support \n\n The team manages an active caseload of approximately 200 patients, with each young person allocated a case manager within the MDT. \n What We’re Looking ForEssential \n\n • \n Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise \n • \n Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT) \n • \n Significant CAMHS experience, including emotional disorders presentations \n • \n Experience conducting psychiatric and risk assessments in children and young people \n • \n Strong multidisciplinary working and leadership skills \n\n Desirable \n\n • \n Experience within specialist CAMHS emotional disorders services \n • \n Experience supporting trainees and junior staff \n • \n Interest in service development and evidence-based practice \n\n What’s on Offer \n\n • \n £100–£125 per hour \n • \n Full-time hours \n • \n Opportunity to join a highly specialist and supportive CAMHS MDT \n • \n Work alongside experienced substantive consultant colleagues \n • \n Stable and well-established service structure \n • \n Meaningful work supporting children and young people with complex emotional needs \n

We are seeking a Consultant in Older Adult Psychiatry. • Providing Clinical Leadership and supervision to other members of the team and to the multi-disciplinary team. Also provide cross cover for the General Adult Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist., • Providing expert clinical input (including clinical assessment) for patients with complex presentations. The post holder will assess and review patients in the A&E department and wards and provide psychiatric expertise for complex cases, working with clinical staff in the Acute Trust to improve patient care and outcomes. The post holder will contribute to an ad hoc outpatient follow-up clinic where patients assessed by the Mental Health Liaison team and discharged home can be brought back for joint geriatrics review under the delirium pathway (Ambulatory care)., • Regular review of service users waiting for MH admission to ensure review of changing needs and implement appropriate changes to management plan to offer least restrictive treatment options., • Providing clinical leadership to daily referrals meetings and board round. The post holder will attend multidisciplinary professionals’ meetings and other multiagency meetings with clinical partners providing acute physical healthcare to provide an integrated approach.
