Infrastructure Engineer - SC Cleared - Hybrid - £80,000 We're seeking a versatile Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience across modern platforms, virtualisation, cloud services, and secure environments. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working hands-on with a broad technology stack, this role offers the opportunity to make real impact in a high-assurance setting. Strong background in: • Windows Server (2016+) administration, • RedHat OpenShift, • Linux distributions (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu), • End-user device provisioning and hardening (eg, Autopilot), • Single Sign-On concepts and operations, • Working within protectively marked or secure environments, • VMware technologies, • Microsoft Azure, • General networking fundamentals, • Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Ansible) Experience with any of the following is a major advantage: • Kubernetes administration (eg, VMware TKGI), • vSphere, vCenter, VCF, • Azure or Microsoft 365 administration, • DevSecOps tooling and pipelines, • Nessus or similar security scanning tools, • Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Vault), • Agile sprint-based environments Typical Responsibilities: • Maintain, enhance, and secure multi-classification virtualised environments, • Support the development and adoption of Secure-by-Design infrastructure approaches, • Assist in the delivery and support of cloud SaaS platforms and project-specific cloud systems, • Execute infrastructure maintenance through change control processes, • Monitor and manage alerting, ticketing, and incident response workflows, • Identify, diagnose, and act on system alerts and performance issues, • Ensure all systems remain patched and compliant with security policy, • Assess incidents quickly, drive service restoration, and track follow-up actions, • Analyse trends to improve system reliability and performance, • Stay current with emerging cloud, virtualisation, and security technologies, • Provide guidance and technical support to teams and stakeholders, • Document processes, share knowledge, and support business growth activities Security Clearance Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be UK sole nationals and hold UK Security Clearance
