SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Cornwall and surroudning areas Position Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible opportunities available) About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs in schools across Cornwall and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on students’ learning, development, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities • Support pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties), • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities, • Provide 1:1 or small group support, • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies, • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning, • Support students’ emotional and social development Requirements • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential), • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach, • Strong communication skills, • Ability to work as part of a team Essential Criteria • DBS on the Update Service (MANDATORY), • Childrens safeguarding training Desirable • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to travel between schools) What We Offer • Flexible working opportunities, • Ongoing support and training, • Opportunities for career development, • Monday to Friday, structured week How to Apply If you are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and want to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
