Job Overview The key responsibility of the Project Manager is to provide outstanding customer service, taking over projects following handover from the Sales team and liaising with the customer to confirm specifications, creating detailed works orders, updating schedules, and working closely with the Production and Logistics teams to ensure the order is manufactured and dispatched to meet customer expectations. This position requires an ability to work as a member of a team and stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment. Projects may have varying lead times from several days to several months, so an adaptable approach and ability to prioritise effectively is essential. This is mainly an office-based role, but will occasionally involve visits to construction sites for surveys to manage design and installation issues. It’s important to note that we are a manufacturer and supplier, not a contractor, so we do not carry out installation work. Responsibilities and Duties • Create work schedules in line with expected delivery dates., • Keep in regular communication with customers to agree product specifications, finalise details, and update them on order progress., • Maintain and amend work schedules and works orders accurately., • Work closely with the Production and Logistics teams to ensure products are delivered on time and in full to the customer., • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and issues., • Process requests for missing items., • Liaise with external suppliers and build great relationships. Key Competencies • A passion for creating great relationships with our customers and providing outstanding service through regular communication., • An in-depth knowledge of how to use Microsoft office, not limited to excel, outlook and word, and a high degree of confidence in using IT software generally., • Experience with ERP systems such as Business Central would be beneficial., • The ability to plan and control how you manage your time and tasks to accomplish your goals., • Detail-oriented mindset, able to deal with unique and bespoke customer requirements., • Being able to express ideas and views clearly and concisely in a professional and diplomatic manner across different teams and stakeholders., • An understanding of the mechanics of project management and best practices., • The ability to gain an in-depth understanding of our product range and its specific details, including the different scenarios and options available, what situations it’s used in, and certifications required., • An understanding of how to upsell Selo products on jobs handed over, where there is potential to offer optional extras., • Previous experience with fire rated products and/or technical drawings would be beneficial., • Knowledge of building regulations, compliance standards and the construction industry in general would be beneficial.
