Injection Moulding Setter / Moulding Technician • Littleborough, Greater Manchester, • Up to £40,000, • Monday – Friday | Rotating Shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) 5S Recruitment is working with a well-established plastic injection moulding manufacture, who are looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter / Moulding Technician to join their technical team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on injection moulding experience, strong knowledge of tool changes and process optimisation, and the ability to support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Carry out tool changes and colour changes on injection moulding machines, • Start up machines and ensure stable moulding processes before handing over to production., • Support new product sampling and trials., • Optimise moulding processes to improve cycle times and production efficiency., • Monitor product quality and carry out process adjustments where required., • Minimise scrap and maintain consistent moulding performance., • Maintain high 5S and housekeeping standards within the mould shop., • Work closely with production and management teams to ensure tool change schedules are met., • Provide clear and accurate shift handovers., • Follow all health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement. Candidate Requirements • Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Setter, Moulding Technician, or Process Technician., • Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulding machines and tooling changes., • Experience working within manufacturing or plastics production environments., • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving., • Ideally own transport due to shift pattern and location.
