As a tutor at Explore Learning, you will deliver tailored Maths and English lessons using our smart learning tool, Compass. You will engage with individual students and small groups (maximum 16 students) to facilitate and support learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching. You will use a 16:1 student‑to‑tutor ratio to build meaningful relationships and encourage risk‑taking and a love of learning. • Deliver lessons that last for the scheduled time, using Compass to facilitate learning., • Build meaningful relationships with students, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment., • Support children through the National Curriculum, 11+ entrance exams and GCSE preparation., • Confident leading sessions with small groups (16), inspiring children to engage in their learning, using positive behaviour management strategies, and consistently prioritising their safety and wellbeing., • Comfortable supporting children aged 4‑16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE content., • Committed to building meaningful, long‑term relationships, providing the consistency and stability that helps children thrive. You must be age 16 or over and have the right to work in the UK. You must have achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level (or equivalent). We accept predicted GCSE grades if you will be receiving your results within the next three months. This is an on‑site role based at our Camberley centre. This is a permanent, part‑time role. You will be contracted to work a minimum of six hours a week over at least two different weekdays. Our available shift start times are: 9:30‑4pm Tuesday, 9:30‑4pm Wednesday, 9:30‑4pm Thursday, 9:30‑4pm Friday, and morning/afternoon Saturday. Earn more as you progress! You will start on the base rate for your age group, with an annual opportunity to increase your pay based on the number of hours you have tutored for us. • Under 18: £8.40 per hour, • 18‑20: £10.90 per hour, • 21+: £12.75 per hour, • We add an additional 50p per hour if you work from a centre inside the M25; you will be paid for all training and induction., • 50% off Explore Learning membership fees for all immediate relatives of staff members., • £50 bonus for each tutor you refer and £500 for each supervisor/manager you refer., • Payroll giving scheme, enhanced parental packages, mortgage broker service and pension matching scheme., • Access to staff networks for sharing ideas and social connections.
