Procurement Manager 3–6 Month Interim Contract | Camberley (Hybrid 1–2 Days On-Site) £300–£400 per day (Inside IR35) Temp-to-Perm Opportunity We’re working with a leading food manufacturing business seeking an experienced and commercially focused Procurement Manager to oversee supplier relationships and purchasing strategy across their product and operations network. This is a pivotal role ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality ingredients, packaging, and indirect services while maintaining best value, food safety, and sustainability standards. This position is suited to a hands-on procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, supplier management experience, and a background in food or FMCG environments. You’ll lead on sourcing, contract management, and category strategy while driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Develop and deliver a robust three-year procurement strategy aligned with business objectives, • Source, assess, and negotiate with suppliers for ingredients, packaging, and operational goods, • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, • Oversee contract management, including pricing agreements, SLAs, and supplier performance reviews, • Track market trends, commodity pricing, and potential supply chain risks to support strategic purchasing decisions, • Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations, • Maintain accurate procurement data, forecasts, and reports across ERP and purchasing systems, • Drive cost-saving initiatives through effective category management and supplier consolidation, • Ensure full compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and ethical sourcing requirements, • Lead, coach, and develop procurement team members to support performance and professional growth What We’re Looking For • Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG, • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills, • Solid understanding of food ingredients, packaging, and compliance frameworks (e.g. BRC, HACCP), • Demonstrable commercial acumen with a track record of cost optimisation and budget management, • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills, • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or related discipline, • CIPS qualification desirable Why Join?
