The Role The QA Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an efficient and effective quality assurance programme, to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements are met, to produce safe, high-quality products for our consumers. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the quality of all aspects in the food production process, including ensuring products are being produced and packed within specification and that the intake checks on raw material are within specification., • Liaise with factory management to implement and maintain food safety and hygiene systems and to ensure that good manufacturing practises are adhered to., • Ensure that products comply with customer specifications and implement processes to ensure that staff hygiene and factory rules are being adhered to., • Work with the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) team to ensure product quality and safety., • Investigate customer complaints ensuring corrective action is taken to rectify them., • Oversee and support the professional and personal development of individuals in the Quality Assurance team., • Undertake additional work as required by the Factory Technical Manager or other management members of the Technical Department., • Always adhere to company policies including the personal hygiene policy, using correct manual handling techniques, and always wearing the correct PPE., • Support and actively promote brand integrity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by ensuring there is engagement and communication between teams, customers and suppliers that continually drives improvement. Skills/Personal Attributes: • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills., • Strong planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail., • Good understanding of English (written, verbal and reading)., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a professional approach and attitude., • Knowledge of BRC, retail audit requirements and food legislation standards., • Previous experience working in a quality assurance role in the food industry is essential., • Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP. Hours of Work: • Normal contractual hours of work are 45 hours per week. Your normal working hours are 6am – 3pm.
