SEN Personal Care Support Worker – Bolton\n\nFull-time | Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm\n Start: ASAP\n Employer: Teaching Personnel\n\nTeaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Personal Care Support Worker to join one of our partnered specialist schools in the Bolton area. The school supports pupils aged 4–18 with a wide range of complex needs, including ASC, SLD, PMLD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, physical disabilities, and medical or personal care requirements.\n\nThis is a fulfilling role within a well-resourced, supportive SEN environment. You will be working closely with staff to provide personal care, emotional support, and access to learning for young people who require additional assistance throughout the school day.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nFull-time, ongoing position\nHours: 9:00am–3:00pm\nSupporting pupils with complex SEN needs across the school\nWorking alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff\nTraining provided through Teaching Personnel and the school\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide personal care including toileting, changing, feeding, and hygiene support.\nAssist pupils with mobility, including hoisting, wheelchair use, and physical support (training provided).\nSupport pupils in accessing learning activities, sensory sessions, and therapy interventions.\nBuild positive, trusting relationships with pupils, promoting independence and wellbeing.\nFollow individual learning plans, EHCPs, and behaviour support strategies.\nUse communication aids (PECs, symbols, visuals) as needed — full training available.\nMaintain a safe, nurturing environment and adhere to safeguarding procedures.\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience in a care-based role is essential (e.g., residential care, domiciliary care, youth care, personal assistant roles).\nExperience working with children or young people in any capacity.\nA patient, caring, and resilient nature.\nComfortable providing personal and intimate care.\nAbility to work well as part of a team.\nAn enhanced chiild and adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.\nNo prior school experience required. \n\nWhat Teaching Personnel Offer\n\nCompetitive weekly pay, paid via PAYE.\nAccess to TP’s CPD Academy, offering SEN-specific training.\nA dedicated consultant supporting you throughout your placement.\nOpportunities for long-term and permanent roles.\nA chance to make a real impact in a rewarding SEN environment.\n\nInterested in this role?\n\nIf this sounds like the right opportunity for you then apply today by sending in your CV!\n\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
