This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Shift Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site. Working on a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am – 2pm one week, and then 2 – 10pm, Monday to Friday, you will lead production operations within this specialised manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will oversee shift teams, drive safe, efficient, and high‑quality output while consistently support the team to achieve performance and production targets. This will give you the opportunity to contribute to products and technologies that have far-reaching impact across multiple industries. How you’ll add value: • Lead, supervise, and motivate production teams during assigned shifts, • Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, • Monitor production processes to achieve output, quality, and cost targets, • Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to minimize downtime, • Manage staffing levels, shift handovers, and daily production reporting, • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, • Enforce company policies, procedures, and quality standards, • Address operational issues promptly and effectively About you: • Proven experience in a metal making, steel, foundry, or heavy manufacturing environment, • Demonstrable supervisory or shift management experience, • Strong knowledge of health & safety practices in an industrial setting, • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-temperature production environment, • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Strong communication and organisational abilities, • Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required What you can expect: • Competitive salary, • Generous Pension,, • Dental and medical insurance, • Holiday allowance, • Long service bonus.     Job Description: Brown Bear Coffee is a well-established, popular brunch spot and we are now looking for a reliable, experienced chef to join our team. This individual will be required to help contribute to providing customers a smooth, fast and high quality food service, and also bring a fresh perspective to our menu, which we love to consistently update and improve. Responsibilities • Bring a calm, level headed approach to kitchen, in order to keep food being served in a smooth, fast and efficient manner., • Prepare ingredients that are required for service., • Enforce strict health and hygiene practices during your shifts., • Enforce safe food practices and record when necessary., • Contribute to keeping the kitchen clean, and food appropriately stored and labelled., • Communicating any low stocks, and what is needed to be ordered each week., • Consistently looking at opportunities to improve the running of the kitchen, rather than just continuing with the status quo., • Get creative and work alongside the manager to improve the Brown Bear Menu!, • Be willing to prepare bagels if possible (baking experience is preferred, but additional training will be provided).
