Operations & Field Partner – Experiential Events & Immersive Environments Location: Kent / East Sussex (Newhaven/Staplehurst base preferred) Travel: UK & International Type: Full-time, part-time, freelance, Salary: £32,000 About the role We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Operations & Field Partner to work directly alongside the founder of two fast-growing experiential brands. This is not a desk job. You will be responsible for keeping our physical infrastructure organised, maintained and deployment-ready, while also representing the brand at exhibitions, events and trade shows across the UK and abroad. If you enjoy building things, fixing things, driving long distances, being on-site during live activations, and taking ownership of real responsibility, this role is for you. The Businesses You will work across: • PODS Play – immersive, story-driven play environments for families and education. PODSplay.com, • Optix Structures – inflatable and modular event structures for major brands and production companies, • Optixinflatablestructures.com We design, manufacture and deploy environments that create impact. We now need someone to help scale operationally. Key Responsibilities Operations and logistics • Maintain and clean event structures and equipment, • Organise containers and inventory systems, • Prepare equipment for deployment, • Manage packing, loading and unloading, • Tow trailers and drive Lutons confidently., • Drive long distances when required, • Liaise with storage yards and suppliers, • Install and de-rig structures on site, • Manage freelance crew where required, • Represent the brand professionally in front of clients, • Support exhibitions and trade shows, • Travel and stay away when needed, UK and occasionally overseas Marketing and Brand Support • Capture social media content during builds and live events, • Assist with behind-the-scenes marketing, • Support product demos, • Be comfortable on camera occasionally Founder Support • Help maintain workshop and renovation projects, • Assist with practical tasks that support business growth, • Act as a trusted right-hand during high-pressure periods Required skills and experiences Essential: • Full UK driving licence, • Confident towing a trailer, • Event or production experience, • Physically fit and practical, • Organised and proactive, • Comfortable working long hours during event periods, • Willing to travel and stay away Desirable: • Experience in experiential marketing or live events, • Forklift licence, • Basic electrical or mechanical understanding, • Social media awareness, • Construction or fabrication experience Who this roll suits This role would suit someone who: • Has worked in events and wants more ownership, • Is ex-military logistics or operations, • Has worked in touring production, • Enjoys solving problems, • Wants to grow with a company rather than be “just crew” This is a leadership-track position for the right person.
