This role is a full time, permanent position Your role will consist of the following: • Setting up the pub ready for service, • Serving food and drinks to our guests, • Answering the phone and taking bookings, • Clearing tables, • Making desserts, • Bar service, • General cleaning and tidying The King & Queen is a 'Heart of the Community' pub that delivers great food and drinks to our locals and destination diners alike. The type of person you must be: • Fit and able (There is a lot of walking and some stair work), • Passionate about serving others, • Willing to learn, • Always displaying a winning smile, • Able to communicate with guests and management, • Fun, with a good personality, • Able to work on your own initiative You must have at least 1 year's experience in hospitality either in a pub or restaurant. You must be eligible to work in the UK. You must live within commutable distance to the pub and it is desirable that you are able to drive if not within walking distance of the business or have access to a lift to and from work. You must be able to commit to working an average 40 hour week, be willing to work daytime/evening/weekend/bank holiday shifts. Salary is dependent on age and sometimes experience but we will always meet national minimum wage requirements. Pay is weekly and you will receive a portion of the tips associated with the hours you work. A uniform shirt is provided.
