Key responsibilities Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer \n\n • Complete mechanical and plumbing PPMs within the required timescales and to the correct standard.\n, • Diagnose and repair faults affecting commercial plumbing, heating and mechanical systems.\n, • Maintain pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, calorifiers, booster sets, valves and associated plant.\n, • Repair domestic hot and cold-water services.\n, • Service TMVs and support water hygiene and Legionella control activities within the engineers competence.\n, • Undertake minor mechanical installation and remedial works.\n, • Identify the underlying cause of faults and recommend appropriate remedial action to reduce repeat failures.\n, • Record work accurately and promptly using Camdens CAFM system and issued mobile technology.\n, • Work live by updating jobs, materials, findings and completion details while attending sites.\n, • Provide clear notes explaining what was inspected, what was found, what action was taken and whether further work is required.\n, • Manage and prioritise an allocated workload, including PPMs and reactive jobs.\n, • Communicate professionally with school staff, caretakers, building users, contractors and colleagues.\n, • Complete dynamic risk assessments and follow permit-to-work and site safety procedures.\n, • Maintain the work vehicle, tools and equipment appropriately.\n, • Support colleagues across the wider M&E team where competent.\n, • Mentor and support the assigned apprentice.\n\n Essential qualifications and experience Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer \n Candidates must be able to evidence: Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer \n\n • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or an equivalent recognised qualification in plumbing, mechanical engineering or building services.\n, • Substantial practical experience of commercial plumbing and mechanical maintenance.\n, • Experience maintaining heating systems, pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, calorifiers and associated plant.\n, • Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance.\n, • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.\n, • Experience working independently in occupied buildings.\n, • A full UK driving licence.\n, • The ability and willingness to mentor an apprentice.\n, • Competence using mobile devices or CAFM systems to maintain accurate job records.\n\n
